Avery Healthcare Group’s Scholars Mews Care Home in Stratford-upon-Avon has landed two prestigious awards from the nationally recognised Continuous Advancement Programme (CAP) for its housekeeping and catering provision.
The care home received an unannounced inspection visit from the CAP assessment team in October. During the assessment, the inspectors noted a commendable focus and keenness from the housekeeping team and ‘nice touches’ with high-quality food from the catering team. As a result, the care home’s catering provision received a CAP Silver award while the housekeeping landed the prestigious CAP Gold award.
Home Manager Sharon Wassing says: “Both teams strive tirelessly to do the best for our residents. This was reflected in the CAP assessor’s feedback following conversations with the residents. It’s excellent!”
The CAP Chief Inspector, Ian Jackson, commented about the focus on the care and service to residents by both teams, saying “it was a testament to their commitment to making that all-important difference,” adding: “Well done to all involved.”
