CAP Silver for Housekeeping & Cleaning at First Attempt for Spire Hartswood Hospital

November 14, 2019

The Brentwood-based Spire Hartswood Hospital has secured a CAP Silver Award for its housekeeping provision. The achievement is notable as this is the hospital’s first participation in the nationally-recognised Continuous Advancement Programme (CAP).

The CAP inspection team visited on 12th November 2019 to assess the hospital’s housekeeping and cleaning services. They noted the commitment shown, not just by all members of the housekeeping team, but by the hospital as a whole in embracing and supporting the ambitions of the department.

“In terms of providing the best possible quality of service to our patients, this achievement by the housekeeping team is a testament to the vital part they play,” says Hartswood Operations manager Jordan Butler, adding: “It is an excellent outcome.”

The CAP Chief Assessor, Ian Jackson, comments: “This is a commendable achievement by the team. While CAP Silver is the highest award we can present for an announced assessment visit, I have no doubt that the team will attain a higher level in the future as they continue to participate in the programme.”
