Bon Secours Tralee Hospital Adds Another CAP Gold Award for Housekeeping Excellence

January 17, 2020

In recognition of sustained excellence in its housekeeping service, the Continuous Advancement Programme (CAP) has awarded another CAP Gold to the Bon Secours Hospital based at Tralee, taking its tally to four.

The CAP assessment team’s unannounced visit to Tralee took place on 15th January 2020 to evaluate the hospital’s catering and housekeeping provision. The CAP inspectors singled out the progressive actions taken by the housekeeping and cleaning staff to move the service on year after year for special commendation.

Hospital Manager TJ O’Connor offered congratulations to all involved in the delivery of the catering and cleaning services to the hospital, saying: “A fourth CAP Gold for housekeeping is indeed a testament to your dedication and hard work”.

Last year, the CAP assessors noted an incremental improvement of the hospital’s score within the CAP Gold band over previous years, citing that as “remarkable”. In 2020, the hospital’s housekeeping has improved even further, an achievement reported as “excellent”.
