Bishop’s Stortford College Confirms High Standards of Housekeeping in Latest CAP Audit

July 31, 2019

CAP, the Continuous Advancement Programme, has announced that Bishop’s Stortford College in Hertfordshire has completed its 2019 audit for housekeeping and achieved a Silver Award confirming high standards throughout all areas of the campus.

Bishop’s Stortford College provides co-educational day and boarding for pupils from age the age of four to 18 and so must satisfy diverse requirements. Housekeeping responsibilities are intensive and varied throughout the five boarding houses, day houses, teaching areas, sports facilities, common areas, and other places across the 130-acre campus.

Praised by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (IS), the College strives for high academic achievement and is encouraging pupils’ respect for self, others, and the environment by committing to the CAP progressive development scheme for housekeeping. The condition of the surroundings can have a profound effect on meeting these ideals, and also helps express core values to visitors, while ensuring safety and aiding the smooth running of the school.

CAP is dedicated to the education and healthcare sectors and creates a tailored plan to meet the individual needs of every establishment that joins the scheme. CAP assessors work continuously with each client to monitor progress and customise the plan over time to ensure ongoing improvements. Committing to CAP also lets individual team members develop their skills and gain recognition, which can enhance motivation and ensure even greater achievements in the longer term.

In addition to working with housekeeping teams, CAP also has programmes for catering departments that can help improve food quality, nutritional content, and variety, as well as raising standards of hygiene and preparation, through co-development of effective plans and regular, rigorous auditing. Any healthcare or educational organisation can begin their journey with a 30-minute assessment call, which is easy to book with or form.
