Building on the hat-trick of CAP Gold Awards secured last year for its exemplary housekeeping, the Beacon Hospital in Sandyford has added a fourth to its tally, as a result of an unannounced visit by the CAP Assessment Team on 26th February.
Among the observations of the CAP inspectors was a recognition that new services becoming available added to an already busy hospital, while building works presented the housekeepers with even more challenges.
Hospital CEO Michael Cullen congratulated all involved in the fine achievement, commenting: “I’ve seen the housekeeping team continue to go from strength to strength and contribute so much to the success of the Hospital.”
The latest CAP assessment report highlights the strengthening relationships between the different teams in clinical, catering and maintenance, attributing that to the effective measured progression seen in the housekeeping service delivery over the past year.
“The focus of the CAP Programme is very much about progressing the service delivery to the benefit of the patients year-on-year,” explains CAP Chief Assessor, Ian Jackson. “Observing the real delivery on this objective made this assessment visit especially pleasing,” he added.
Beacon Hospital outsources its housekeeping requirements to Neylons, a proven Facilities Management organisation in Ireland that does have an impressive track record of CAP Gold Awards for its services.
